Trailhead recognized a shortage, selected its own GG4 fresh-frozen material, and moved the product through washing, freeze drying, pressing, hardware filling, testing, and release in roughly three weeks.

Fresh frozen
Preserve the plant at harvest.
Flower selected for live rosin is frozen shortly after harvest rather than dried and cured. That gives the solventless team a different starting material and helps preserve the aromatic profile that made the cultivar interesting in the first place.
Ice-water hash
Separate without hydrocarbon solvents.
Cold water and agitation separate resin heads from the fresh-frozen plant material. The collected hash is carefully freeze-dried before pressing. The method is straightforward; executing it cleanly requires attention at every step.
Live rosin
Heat, pressure, and patience.
Dried ice-water hash is pressed into live rosin, then finished for the intended format. Some batches become one-gram jars. Others are prepared for Trailhead's rosin vapor hardware. The menu changes with each wash and each cultivar.
